Riverside Music College to start guitar lessons at Frets Creative

As part of the development of 2 Barn Street Mews into a creative hub for Strathaven, Frets Creative is delighted to announce it is teaming up with Riverside Music College to offer guitar tuition for all ages and experience levels at its bespoke premises in 2 Barn Street Mews in Strathaven. If you are a looking to learn the basics, work on more advanced techniques, or you’re just trying something new, then Riverside Music College can provide one to one tuition designed for you at Frets Creative. We have a range of experienced guitar tutors who will tailor your lessons to the music you enjoy, and help you progress and develop new skills.

The tutors at Riverside Music College are experts on their instruments and are all accomplished musicians who are active in the industry. They’re also a really nice bunch who will make your time at Frets Creative as enjoyable as it is productive. As a Registered Examination Centre for Trinity College London, you can work towards sitting your graded exams right here – or you can simply learn for fun, we can help with both!

Frets Creative’s Douglas MacIntyre has worked professionally with Riverside Music College for a number of years in both a recording capacity and as a lecturer. Douglas said: “The guitar tuition team at Riverside Music College is second to none with a wide range of industry experience, I believe they will bring a unique professionalism to Strathaven and we are excited to have them delivering guitar lessons at Frets Creative. There is also a clear pathway to study music at Riverside Music College after leaving secondary education, as we offer Music Performance courses accredited by SQA at college HND level. Riverside Music College also offers the opportunity to study for a university degree at our Busby campus, where we deliver courses in conjunction with University of Highlands and Islands”.

Douglas added: “I have been running guitar lessons through Frets since January, but my other workload has increased and I was going to have to disappoint my students.  So I was delighted when Riverside suggested taking them over and offering guitar lessons that will enable students to be awarded gradings.”

This will complement plans for arts and photography workshops planned by Creative Strathaven to start once we are into phase four of lockdown easing, and also the existing Creative Strathaven shop that opened in July 2020.

Please contact info@fretscreative.com for further information as soon as possible, as we expect high demand.
