The next event in the FRETS calandar is Bernard Butler, Norman Blake and James Grant, who appear at the Strathaven Hotel this coming Friday 4th March. Anyone who was lucky enough to see Bernard, Norman and James at the FRETS at Celtic Connections concert in Glasgow (at St. Luke’s and Mackintosh Churches) will know how special these sold out concerts were. They played songs as a trio from their collective back catalogue from Suede, Teenage Fanclub, Friends Again, Love & Money and solo – they will be revamping their setlist for this concert, it’ll be their final performance of these FRETS curated concerts. Support comes from Monica Queen, who will have a solo album available later this year on Creeping Bent. Opening the concert will be The Kingfishers, who are finishing off an album for release via the Last Night From Glasgow label.
