Frets Creative set up Avondale Radio in March 2022, funded by the Kype Muir Community Fund and the Renewable Energy Fund. We also got funding from a Strathaven and Glassford Micro Grant.
The radio station is run entirely by volunteers and came about from an idea by Kenny Quigley who is now Station Manager and runs the station in conjunction with Station Director Les Hoggan and Scheduler (and presenter) Nancy Luke.
The website for Avondale Radio is at http://www.avondaleradio.com. The station now has over 25 presenters and as at June 3rd over 12,500 listeners.
