James Grant at the Strathaven Hotel

As with the first Frets Acoustic concert with Lloyd Cole, James’ concert at the Strathaven Hotel this Friday 29th Nov is sold out, so seating will be on a first come first seated basis. Doors will be 7pm sharp, with live acoustic music starting shortly thereafter.

Here is the running order for Friday November 29th

7pm – Doors open

7.15 – Amelia Lironi / Rubber Soul

8pm – The Frets / Bowie theme

9pm – James Grant

The bar adjacent to the concert room will be closed during James’ performance, however the main bar in the hotel will remain open. We’ll be using the exit at the back of the concert room for access to the main bar and toilets during James’ performance. It’s going to be a great night, the concert is going to be listening experience to one of Scotland’s finest songwriters and as anyone who has seem James live will attest, it’ll be a good laugh. James is looking forward to playing to an appreciative audience.

This will be the final Frets Acoustic concert of 2019, so thanks to everyone who bought tickets for the Lloyd Cole and James Grant concerts. Wishing everyone all the best for the new year, we have already lined up some exciting artists for Frets Acoustic concerts at the Strathaven Hotel in 2020, which will start monthly from Feb onwards.

  1. Good initiative to closed the small bar and have a back exit door during performance. 👍Was a bit noisy and disruptive during Lloyd’s show.

Out of curiosity – what’s the fee and class times for guitar lessons?

    1. Hi Lenny, apologies for the delay. I still have space on Tuesday evenings at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm. Classes last 45 minutes and are ÂŁ20. Our next Frets Acoustic date is Friday 21st Feb, details next week. Best. Douglas
