It’s a huge welcome to 2 Barn Street Mews in Strathaven! Home of Creative Strathaven and Frets Creative – two different but like minded organisations who want to build a creative community hub in the town. Right now the space is a shop and gallery (run by Creative Strathaven) but there are big plans to run lots of workshops and various events through both organisations when it’s safe to do so again. Some events will also be a collaboration as Creative Strathaven and Frets Creative both get in on the act! So watch this space and make sure to follow both organisations on Facebook and Instagram.
What a fantastic first week we had, right from our opening on July 18th. The Creative Strathaven shop and gallery have been very well received with great feedback on the range of stock it has available. All from local/Scottish makers and with 100% of all income going back to the maker.
We have also had lots of interest from people hoping to be able to use our event space for workshops, seminars, meetings, hot desking, and Mhairi at Creative Strathaven is already excited by the thought of planning her first events in the space.
